Preliminary Procedure

Note:Please review the entire procedure before trying to perform it.

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer toLifting and Jacking the Vehicle.Remove the left and right front wheelhouse liners. Refer toFront Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.Bezel Replacement

Front Fog Lamp Package Installation

Remove part of the front fascia by removing the lower bolts (1).

Front Fog Lamp Package Installation

Remove the bolt (1) securing the left and right front lower outer grill panels (2).Retain bolt for future use.Release the six outer grille assembly tabs from the left and right outer lower grillepanels (2) and remove from front fascia.

Front Fog Lamp Package Installation

Install the left and right fog lamp bezels (2) to the front fascia by engaging thesix retaining tabs.

Note:Left and right bezels are not interchangeable.

Caution:Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacementfasteners must be the correct part number for that application.Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use ofthread locking compound or sealant are identified in the serviceprocedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitorson fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. Thesecoatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and maydamage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence andspecifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damageto parts and systems.

Using the previously retained bolts (1), secure the left and right fog lamp bezelsusing the closest hole towards bezel.

Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

Snap the left and right fog lamp assemblies (1) to the front bumper fascia.

Harness InstallDisconnect negative battery cable. Refer toBattery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.Remove the underhood electrical center (UEC), to access one of the connectors belowit. Refer toAccessory Wiring Junction Block Replacement.Route the wire harness jumper lone terminal up from the left wheelhouse area, startingforward of the washer bottle filler neck. Follow the routing of the front lightingharness to the UEC.

Locate the 43-way connector X3, the smaller black connector, with a red CPA towardsthe front of the UEC.A1A6B1B3C1C6D1D2E1E2F1F6G1G3H1H6

Remove the red CPA. Insert the bare terminal in cavity C5 of connector X3. Reinstallthe red CPA.Position the connector back in the base of the UEC.Reinstall the UEC. Refer toAccessory Wiring Junction Block Replacement.Route the harness in the left wheelwell forward to the left fog lamp.Connect the left fog lamp.Continue to route harness below radiator to the right fog lamp.Connect the right fog lamp.Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer toAir Cleaner Assembly ReplacementorAir Cleaner Assembly Replacement.

Front Fog Lamp Package Installation

Route the ground circuit up along the right side of the radiator, outboard of theradiator hose, outboard of the right engine mount, to the ground stud on the inboardside of the right shock tower.Secure the wiring with the attached x-mas tree clips to the right side of the radiator(1), and to the shock tower (2), just outboard of the right engine mount.Remove the ground nut (4) from the inboard side of the right shock tower.Attach the fog lamp ground eyelet, on top of the existing ground circuit (3), installthe fastener and torque to 10 N.m.Reinstall the air cleaner assembly. Refer toAir Cleaner Assembly ReplacementorAir Cleaner Assembly Replacement.Use the included tie straps, secure the wiring near each fog lamp and across the baseof the radiator. Secure the wiring so that snow and ice accumulation will not pullthe wires down. Cut off excess tie strap tails.Switch InstallRemove the steering column shroud. Refer toSteering Column Shroud Replacement.Remove the factory installed turn signal multifunction switch. Refer toTurn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement.Install the new turn signal multifunction switch with fog lamp control. Refer toTurn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement.Reinstall the steering column shroud. Refer toSteering Column Shroud Replacement.Connect negative battery cable. Refer toBattery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

Note:The installation of this accessory fog lamp kit requires programming and configuringof the vehicle. This is done with a Service Programming System (SPS-TIS2Web). Theinstaller needs to call the Techline Customer Support Center -(1-800-828-6860). TheTechline Customer Support Center will provide programming instructions and changesto the vehicles calibration settings. You must provide the vehicle identificationnumber (VIN) of the vehicle to be programmed when calling.

Using the Scan Tool with a MDI, and (SPS-TIS2Web), update the body control module(BCM) calibration file and the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to activate the frontfog lamps and the front fog lamp telltalesTest the function of the front fog lamps and the front fog lamp telltale. Fog lampswork with park lamps and low beams and not with high beams.Reinstall any previously removed components.Aim the fog lamps. Refer toFog Lamp Aiming.
