Liftgate Side Upper Applique Retainer Screw

Caution:Refer toFastener Caution.

Tighten

2.5-Y(22-lb-in)

Liftgate Side Upper Applique Retainer(Qty-:3)

Tip:Use a trim type release tool to disengage the retainers fromthe liftgate outer panel.

Liftgate Side Upper Applique

ProcedureRemove the upper liftgate trim finish panel. Refer toLiftgate Upper Trim Finish Panel Replacement.Begin from the bottom of the applique using a trim type tool,release the retainers working upward toward the rear endspoiler.Disconnect the anti-pinch sensor electrical connector priorto removing the side applique from the liftgate outer panel.When the last retainer is released, lift the bottom edge ofthe applique and remove from under the rear edge of the rear endspoiler.Disconnect the anti-pinch grommet and electricalconnector.Pull the electrical connector through the liftgatepanel.Replace damaged or broken retainers as needed.
