Special tools are listed and illustrated throughout thissection, with a complete listing at the end of the section. Thesetools, or their equivalents, are designed to quickly and safelyaccomplish the operations for which they are intended. The use ofthese special tools also minimize possible damage to enginecomponents. Some precision measuring tools are required forinspection of certain critical components. Torque wrenches and atorque angle meter are necessary for the proper tightening ofvarious fasteners.To properly service the engine assembly, the following itemsshould be readily available:Approved eye protection and safety glovesA clean, well-lit, work areaA suitable component cleaning tankA compressed air supplyTrays or storage containers to keep components and fastenersorganizedAn adequate set of hand toolsApproved engine repair standAn approved engine lifting device that adequately supportsthe weight of the components
